SKC Dermatology is building a state-of-the-art Mohs micrographic surgery lab. Mohs surgery is the intricate procedure of tissue-sparing skin cancer removal.
With controlled, serial, microscopic examination of skin cancers, the surgery allows for maximum preservation of uninvolved tissues and, consequently, results in smaller defects, requiring less complex reconstruction. Mohs surgery is especially beneficial on cosmetically sensitive areas such as the face, and other areas where maximal preservation of normal skin and cosmetic outcomes are important goals (nose, lips, eyelids, ears, fingers).
Would you like to learn more about the MOHS surgery process and if you may be an ideal candidate?
